Sutton BCEs
SuttonBCEs (Big Cooks Ears) includes Bolero and Motorola adapters purchased between January 2019 and November 2023, the product line is now discontinued, the following is the original purchase policy issued within invoice emails and in hard copy with the product:
Due to the nature of SuttonBCEs, being a product that experiences incredibly harsh conditions and extreme wire torsion, we do not offer any kind of extended warranty beyond a standard 31 days from date of delivery manufacturers quality guarantee that will be considered void if the product shows any signs of distress including marks on the stretch indicator (if present) and unusual movement of the cable collar, which is present on all devices just after the main connector, and is ordinary black on v1 devices (2019-2021), transparent on v2 devices (2021-2022) and red on v3 devices (2023 to end of life), if this cable collar is seen peaking beyond the main connector, this shows us that the adapter has at some point been stretched beyond its limit, which we classify as 25N of overall force.
Although we strive to keep our customers in nice kit, we have recently been subject to customers refusing to pay for repairs and replacements, in most cases we have been able to cancel outgoing orders of this nature, but due to these circumstances, we have made the decision to no longer manufacture BCEs, and any further repairs will be at our complete discretion.
Sutton Ringo!
The Sutton Ringo! device and it’s variations, including Ringo Referee, Ringo Paddle and Ringo Rack, are guaranteed for up to three years from the date of delivery, and we offer service contracts ahead of this to help keep your talkback kit both up to date with the latest features, and sounding as crisp as the day it arrived.
Standard warranty covers the device for all advertised functions, we’re also able to offer service manuals to companies running OB fleets outfitted with our products and rental houses, through our service teaching program.
We do not cover third party applications and external devices (unless stated in another part of this page) this includes integration with automation systems and headsets.
We ask our users to understand that we cannot offer firmware updates over email or the web, these updates must be done within the devices menus using either a WiFi connection, or an ethernet adapter into the charging/service port of the device.
Sutton Broadcast IPE
The Sutton Broadcast Integrated Program Environment and the programs contained within it are supported in the state they are shipped, so if you’re running on Windows, you’ll be supported for the product generation you’re running (that means changes to service packs do not affect your support, but we will not support further generations until stated) and if you’re running on Linux you’ll be supported for the nearest LTS release relative to the time to shipment.
We do not offer support for third party hardware integrations with IPE.
Sutton F-ERA
Sutton F-ERA is guaranteed for 24/7 service assuming no updates are made to the system it is running on, in the event that F-ERA causes dead air and you can prove no changes were made to the system prior, we will be able to action reparations on your behalf.
